'Binding House' and 'Velum House' were designed as gateway buildings for the Carrington Point development in Nottingham. Situated next to the Grade II listed Thomas Forman Building, the Carrington Point development comprises 66 apartments in a mix of three, four, and five-storey blocks.

The Carrington Point apartments utilise a timber frame structure, to maximise construction speed, whilst detailed design work had to account for timber shrinkage and fire safety.

The apartments proved popular with the developer and have since been replicated on further sites.
